Albert Mutasa Joins Vi Agroforestry as Country Manager to Rwanda

It is in a time of uncertainty, as the world grapples with the COVID 19 Pandemic but Albert  believes in the future and is confident at his new assignment. 

“I am excited to be part of this team which has been housing one of the solutions to our modern challenges! The advent of COVID 19 and other shocks is confirmation that humanity has been on the wrong trajectory for long. The time to recourse is now, and Vi Agroforestry interventions, have been among the few touted as one of the solutions against climate change for example.” He said

Albert is a Zimbabwean national with a rich background in rural development, cross cutting competencies in Institutional development and organisational strengthening, Market Systems and Inclusive Value Chain Development for resilient livelihoods outcomes especially in Africa and South East Asia

He believes Sustainable development cannot be without strong and equitable partnerships, and it is his hope to see we have a strong team, and partners that can deliver to our stakeholders.

When is he not working he is fascinated by different cultures, and especially the countrysides. “I become very creative and innovative after strolls in the forests!” He added

Albert has today 1st September 2020 assumed office!
