Vi Agroforestry host side event at UN High Level Political Forum

Vi Agroforestery in New York – building inclusive, healthy and resilient communities through agroforestry. There are solutions in the food-migration-health-climate nexus that work for sustainable development for all.
On July 11th, Vi Agroforestry, together with the rest of Agroforestry Network and UNDP, will host a side event at UN High Level Political Forum in New York highlighting the benefits of agroforestry as a solution for people, planet and prosperity.

At the event, the latest agroforestry advances between migration, resilience, gender equality and climate will be presented. Also, Vi Agroforestry will presents on-the-ground examples from Uganda to strengthen the resilience of societies to the effects of climate change, while providing food and income and strengthening women’s and families’ economic empowerment.

James Wausimbi, country Manager for Vi Agroforestry Uganda, will present an upcoming project where Swedish development cooperation and humanitarian work go hand in hand to support refugees in northern Uganda.
