Project: SEMA – Serengeti Mara Ecosystem Project: The project aims conserve the Mara-Serengeti transboundary ecosystems through empowering local communities to adopt sustainable and diversified livelihoods and to promote regional dialogue, cooperation and community involvement in wildlife law enforcement and management. The project is funded by European Union and implemented by Vi Agroforestry together it partners i.e. Fintea in Kenya and Bufadeso in Tanzania. The project involves working with county governments, Kenya Wildlife Service and Tanzania National Park Authority.
Study Area: Western part of Serengeti-Mara Trans Frontier Conservation Area (TFCA) spanning South-Western Kenya and Northern Tanzania
