Agroforesty Symposium attracts over 2000 farmers

November 21, 2019Vi Agroforestry Tanzania held its annual agroforestry symposium from 14-17th November 2019, in Musoma, Tanzania. The symposium brought together over 2000 participants drawn from different sectors, including public and private sectors, government officials, politicians, Civil Society organisations, researchers and scientists and individual farmers.
This year’s theme for the symposium was “agroforestry policy for industrial development” and aimed at popularising the contribution of agroforestry in livelihood improvement and mitigation of the effects of climate change and initiate policy dialogues on the need of national agroforestry policies. This year’s symposium hosted over 30 exhibitors who showed up in pomp and colour, all demonstrating different agroforestry practices. Below are some highlights from the event…
