Vi Agroforestry project in Tanzania featured in the newspaper

The African Food Systems Summit 2023 has just closed in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The 3-day event saw African leaders gather to explore the theme “Recover, Regenerate, Act: Africa’s path to Transforming Food Systems” with a special focus on placing women and youth at the forefront of this transformation.
The EU-funded AGRI-CONNECT programme, which Vi Agroforestry’s Smallholder Coffee Development Project implements under, took this platform as an opportunity to share its remarkable potential for enhancing productivity and competitiveness of Tanzania’s agricultural sector.
Coffee, Tea, and Horticulture have been the focus of the programme with CODE-P specifically focusing on contributing to the inclusive and sustainable development of the coffee value chain for improved incomes and nutritional statis of smallholder farmers in the Southern Highlands.
